Former Governor, Rotimi Amaechi reportedly visited the residence
of Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Thursday evening.
The Thursday visit was Amaechi's second visit since the release of
President Muhammadu Buhari's ministerial list.
According to THIS DAY, sources confirmed that Amaechi went to
the Senate president’s residence in Abuja on Thursday, where he
expressed his disappointment over Saraki’s refusal to invite him
to appear before the upper chamber for screening last Thursday
despite his physical presence in the Senate along with his wife,
Juliet, on that day.
Amaechi was said to have raised his voice to express his
frustration before leaving the residence without seeing the Senate
president, who was said to have been at a meeting. The ruckus
caused by Amaechi was later brought to the attention of Saraki by
the Senate president’s aides who had tried to calm the former
governor before he stormed out of the residence in anger.
This is a personal matter and protest without any bearing to the welfare of nigerians.
