The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation says its financial transactions will be published periodically to ensure transparency starting September.
The corporation’s Group Managing Director, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, who made the disclosure, said that the move was part of his resolve to usher in a new dawn of transparency in the national oil firm.
Kachikwu, who stated this at his maiden town hall meeting with NNPC employees in Abuja on Tuesday, said the new NNPC will be a corporation anchored on the foundation of clearness.
“I want transparency. Beginning from next month, I want to be able to publish what the company makes. I have told the President that as from next week I will be sending him weekly reports,” Kachikwu stated.
