Amaechi In Trouble As EFCC Probes His Administration

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has launched a probe into the administration of former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi.

According to THIS DAY, the probe is based on on a petition by a Port Harcourt-based group, The Integrity Group, which on July 29, wrote to the EFCC, detailing three instances of alleged corruption, graft and abuse of office under Amaechi’s government.
So far, the EFCC has sent 3 letters to the Rivers state Ministry of Finanace and the state Accountant general asking for certain documents. It is however unclear if Amaechi will be invited for questioning any time soon.
