LMC fines 3SC, Enyimba coach

The League Management Company has fined Shooting Stars N500,000 for failing to
provide adequate security in the restricted area during their Match Day 13 Nigeria
Professional Football League game against Enyimba during which Enyimba coach, Kadiri
Ikhana, was assaulted.
The LMC, which supervises the NPFL, also announced on Wednesday that Ikhana had
been fined N100,000 for
what it termed an unethical and unprofessional behaviour
during the Match Day 16 fixture between Enyimba against Abia Warriors in Aba.
Enyimba were also charged for not respecting the decisions of match officials as well
displaying unruly behaviour capable of bringing the game to disrepute during their game
against Abia Warriors.
Enyimba had protested the decision of the referee to rule Christian Obiozor off side after
he scored what could have been the winning goal for Enyimba in the 91st minute of the
game. The match ended 2-2.
The club officer of FC Taraba, Fada Dennis, was also sanctioned by the LMC. Dennis
has been suspended from all activities of the NPFL for the rest of the season for
assaulting referee Bala Mohammed in Makurdi after the Match Day 14 fixture against
Shooting Stars.
