The Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State has described the appointment of the former governor of the state, Rotimi Amaechi, as the Minister of Transportation as one which will
not make any meaningful impact on the lives of the people of Rivers, because he is a “misfit”.
The state chairman of the party, Prince Felix Obuah, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam, said Amaechi's appointment brings to question, President Buhari’s war against corruption. Obuah described the miniterial slot for Rivers State given to Amaechi as a loss because Amaechi is at war with the state and does not believe in its development.
